2025 Corvette ZR1
Just over a week ago GM unveiled the wildest car they have ever produced.
The new 2025 corvette ZR1 was unveiled with a top speed of 215 mph and 1064 hp. That’s right, you can walk into a Chevy dealer and order a 1000 hp monster of a sports car. Wild

The new engine for this car is a flat plain crank v8 like the Z06 was but this one is a 5.5L with 2 turbochargers on it. Making it the first ever turbocharged corvette from factory.
Not only is this the first turbocharged corvette but it has according the engineering team for the engine development, the largest turbos ever put onto a street legal car. And the software for the engine control is almost always keeping the turbos spooled to minimize turbo lag. This means the car does not feel like a turbocharged car but one with a massive lot powerful NA v8. If you want more details on this Top Gear did an interview with the chief Engineer for the Chevy small block V8s here.
If you spec your ZR1 with the zt package you not only get the massive spoiler but you also get 550 kilos (or 1100 lbs) of downforce which is more than a Porsche 911 GT3.
Price has not yet been announced but expected to be starting over $200,000. However every automotive journalist in the social media space suspects dealerships are very likely to be marking these cars up on list price heavy. Expect to see dealers list them pushing or even above $300,000.
Apologies for not writing in the past few weeks. Hope to return to a weekly routine of bringing you the most relevant automotive content.
