Ford Promises V8 Mustangs

I’ve mentioned this before but as it stands the Ford Mustang is now the only muscle car left standing. And according to Ford that is not to change any time soon.

These statements come from an article at The Drive which you can read here.

According to Jim Farley “we are doubling down on our V8.”

Included with that statement was this one: “As long as we can possibly sell our V8s, we’re going to.”

This is eluding to the oncoming emissions and EV standards coming down the pipeline which at one point will not allow these vehicles.

So far the timeline for a lot of governments including California is not internal combustion engine vehicles by 2035. In my opinion there will be huge pushback by even non car people before manufacturers will have to get to that point.
