The Grand Tour’s New Faces

If you are a nostalgic for old school top gear than you are likely familiar with Amazon Prime’s “The Grand Tour”. After shutting down the original trio of hosts have all gone on to do their own thing. Hammond has podcast, May has Gin, and Clarkson bought a farm.

Now the show is getting a reboot with some faces you may know from YouTube.

Thomas Holland, James Engelsman, and Francis Bourgeois. James and Thomas co-host their own channel called Throttlehouse but I had to look into where Francis comes from. Apparently he is know for trainspotting on TikTok of all things. Doug Demuro had a discussion with his crew on his podcast about this change you can find here.

Exotics - Gold Rush Rally content

Whether or not you like some of the ‘clickbaity’ styles of creators such as DDE I always acknowledge the most fun thing you can do with a car is go on a road trip. This means I am a big fan of rallies. This past few weeks a lot of content on the gold rush rally has been released including Stradman taking his Koenigsegg. This is one on the vlogs of the rally here.

Trucks - Custom Car Hauler

This is not big news by any means but my random scavenging of the internet to find random cool things and stumbled across this unique beauty. Not a very big channel or very many views but I think he did a fine job on this piece. A very nice stretched out F550 with a custom flat bed. You can find the video here.

A Love Letter To Older Cars

Going on the theme I named this newsletter for, which was an appreciation of the things we don’t get in vehicles anymore and how slowly new cars have become more and more computers with wheels. I think James summed up this idea beautifully in this video.

We’ll see you next week.
