New Lamborghini and Mustang
Happy Friday,
There was so much released in the world of cars last week during Monterey Car week but these were two of the most talked about stories as well as something new for our readers.
New Lamborghini Temerario
Potential 4-door Mustang
Paddle Shift
New Lamborghini Temerario
Lamborghini unveiled their new successor to the Huracan and it is wild.

It comes with a 700 hp 4.0L twin-turbocharged v8 with a hybrid motor powering the front wheels. If you think this is a familiar recipe its because that is exactly what Ferrari used to make the SF90 Stradale. This difference if the Stradale is supposed to be Ferrari’s most expensive mid-engine car (until the LaFerrari’s successor is unveiled) and the Temerario is the ‘baby Lambo’.
A number of people have said with this car along with the Revuelto Lamborghini now has a better product line as a whole than Ferrari. It’s hard for myself (a long time Ferrari fan) to admit this but I have to agree with those critiques. Ferrari now has the 12 Cilindri and although no one has one yet a lot of the automotive fandom is not too excited with the car (this could easily change once the reviews get a chance to drive them though). And to add to this the new LaFerrari’s successor is rumored to have a V6 hybrid instead of a V12 which a lot of supercar fans are not impressed with.
But for Lamborghini to upgrade the ‘baby Lamborghini’ to have as much performance as it does will make buyers question was a good deal on performance is depending on what the other brands do to compete. It will also matter whether or not Lamborghini will price this car appropriately.
New 4-Door Mustang?
Yes, you read that correctly. There was a rumor that said Ford had approached some of its dealers in the Vegas area and showed them a rendering of a 4 door mustang that many are theorizing to look something like the image below. (this image is from an article in Motortrend)

Now to some this doesn’t look too terrible but the important issue is if you are a true die-hard mustang fan this concept is sacrilegious. Ford would be doing to the mustang what Dodge did to the Charger and while that car was reasonably successful the Mustang is now the last true American muscle car. So a different suggestion was made.
Many in the car space publicly pleaded that if Ford feels they need to make a sporty 4-door car they should just call it the Falcon as it is a name that Ford has in its repertoire and not been used in a while. this would allow the Mustang to remain what it has always been; a 2-door 4 seater sports car with a big loud engine. There has been nothing official from Ford about this rumor or what may come as the s650 generation of the mustang has only just been released but many are concerned this would mean the end of the 2-door sports cars for Ford if they went this direction.
