New Lotus Concept Sports Car

Lotus unveiled the Theory 1 concept car to showcase the direction they want to take their future sports cars.

It is an AWD EV 2-door coupe and you can read more from Car and Driver on it here.

The car has 986 horsepower.

Does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

Top speed of 198 mph.

A big unique thing on this car is the 70 kwh battery, along with the electric motors, is built as a stressed member of the car meaning it does not need a subframe.

The interior of this car is almost more wild than the exterior.

It features a drive by wire steering system and 3 seater setup with the driver in the center position.

As of right now Lotus does not intend on putting this into production but hopefully we can see some of these elements show up on a future 2-door car.
