Used Lamborghini Market Update

Lamborghini just unveiled the Temerario so this is breakdown of what is happening to the used market over the past week or so. Mostly what will happen to the Huracáns and the Gallardos with the V10 now being gone form the product line.

Now that Lamborghini no longer makes V10 cars my first instinct to look at the progress of the Huracáns on auction sites. But the only live auction I could find was on bring a trailer for a STO seen below.

Huracan STO listed on bringatrailer.com

On carsandbis.com there is currently no Huracáns and on bring a trailer’s history you can see the trend on how Huracáns had been doing on sale previously.

from bringatrailer.com

The average over the last 3 years was around the $250,000-$300,000 mark. This is consistent with the most recent auctions on Cars and Bids over the past 3 months. And given the lack of current listings may indicate the current holders of those cars now have no interest in letting them go. My estimates on this say the price of these Huracáns (of all specs) will likely hold their value well and limited runs like the performante models will go up considerably.

A search on Car Gurus in Canada shows them listed averaging around $350,000CAD ($260,000 USD) so this will be interesting to see if we see an increase or decrease within the coming weeks

Now I looked at the same information for the Gallardos.

When looking at Cars and Bids there were a number of Gallardos that did not meet the reserve but all of the cars that have sold there in the last 4 months all went for under $150,000. None currently on the site for auction.

On bring a trailer there is currently one live that you can see.

Looking at the Bring a Trailer data the average car is going for less than $150,000 over the last few years which is consistent with Cars and Bids.

Car Gurus listing for Gallardos is pretty consistent with that averaging $120,000 with 20,000 miles on them. You can see those listings on cargurus.com

I believe these Gallardos (especially the manual ones) are going to be a good buy within the next few years simply because that V10 will become more sought after.
